Szczegółowe informacje:
Przedstawiam Państwu swoisty rarytas dla kolekcjonerów (choć nie tylko dla nich). Cały album zgrany został z wielką dbałością i zaangażowaniem aby cieszyć uszy wszystkich fanów dobrej muzyki. Cała ścieżka audio z oryginalnego nośnika hybrydowego CD/SACD została zrippowana do jednego pliku .wav (dlatego że jest to concept album i stanowi nierozerwalną całość) a następnie zakodowana w formacie mp3 przy użyciu kodera LAME 3.90 MMX - insane preset - aby zapewnić jak najlepszą jakość dźwięku. Jak wiadomo rocznicowe wydanie 'The Dark Side Of The Moon' na SACD jest edycją audiofilską, niestety sześciokanałowej ścieżki SACD z wielu względów nie mogłem wziąć na warsztat, ale warstwę CD-audio jak najbardziej. Tym bardziej, że na to wydanie została specjalnie 'odczyszczona' (mix i mastering Jamesa Guthrie). Wynikowy plik mp3 odtwarzany był na różnym sprzęcie w celu sprawdzenia jakości i porównania z materiałem oryginalnym (nie skompresowanym). Oczywiście, na wzmacniaczach dużej mocy i wysokiej klasy zestawie kolumn głośnikowych różnice dla wprawnego ucha były zauważalne. Jednak na sprzęcie klasy średniej i przeciętnych odtwarzaczach mp3 jakość jest zadowalająca, czy wręcz znakomita w porównaniu do innych plików mp3 z bitratem 192-320kbps. Można powiedzieć, że udało się osiągnąć kompromis między jakością a rozmiarem pliku. W praktyce, w warunkach domowych, nie sposób odróżnić 'empetrójkę' od oryginalnej płyty CD. Warto zaznaczyć, że ten album ma ponad 30 lat (!), a brzmi jakby był nagrany wczoraj. Zapraszam do zapoznania się z tym materiałem - także jego warstwą tekstową. Zróbcie głośniej - odlot gwarantowany...
Na dobrym sprzęcie, bicie serca słyszalne od trzeciej sekundy.

The Piper at the Gates of Dawn – pierwszy album brytyjskiej grupy rockowej Pink Floyd z 1967 roku. Płytę nagrano w 1967 roku w EMI Abbey Road Studios w Londynie, a ukazała się 5 sierpnia tego roku. Produkcją kierował Norman Smith, całość zrealizował Peter Bown, a zdjęcia na okładkę wykonał Vic Singh. Tytuł albumu został zaczerpnięty z baśni Kennetha Grahama "Wind in the willows" (w Polsce znanej pod tytułem "O czym szumią wierzby"), w której jeden z rozdziałów nosił taki właśnie tytuł. Album przez siedem tygodni znajdował się na liście 20 najlepiej sprzedawanych płyt w Wielkiej Brytanii, docierając najwyżej na szóste miejsce. Po wydaniu płyty i krótkich wakacjach, 13 września Pink Floyd wyjechali w trasę koncertową, rozpoczynając od występów w Kopenhadze, następnie w Irlandii, po czym nastąpiło krótkie tournée po Wielkiej Brytanii na przełomie września i października. 12 października zespół wystąpił w Oude Ahoy Club w Rotterdamie. Całość występu została zarejestrowana przez bootlegerów. W wersji CD materiał ten ukazał się w 1989 roku wydany przez włoską firmę "Bulldog". Po serii koncertów w Europie, 24 października Pink Floyd udali się w swą pierwszą podróż - tournée po Stanach Zjednoczonych. Koncerty okazały się jednak całkowitym niepowodzeniem, a "Piper..." nie wszedł nawet do "TOP 100" wg Billboardu. Wobec oczywistego niepowodzenia planowane koncerty zostały odwołane i zespół powrócił do Anglii.

Atom Heart Mother z 1970 r. – pierwsza sesja nagraniowa zespołu z orkiestrą – była wynikiem współpracy z awangardowym kompozytorem Ronem Geesinem. Pierwsza strona albumu zawierała utwór tytułowy – trwającą 23 minuty „rock-orkiestrową” suitę. Na drugiej stronie znajdowały się utwory, z których na każdego ówczesnego wokalistę grupy przypadał jeden (folk-rockowy „If” Rogera Watersa, bluesowy „Fat Old Sun” Davida Gilmoura i nostalgiczny „Summer ‘68” Ricka Wrighta). Kolejny długi utwór „ Alan's Psychedelic Breakfast” był dźwiękowym kolażem odgłosów przygotowującego i jedzącego śniadanie mężczyzny oraz towarzyszącego tym czynnościom strumienia myśli w połączeniu z partiami instrumentalnymi. Użycie szumów i trzasków, przypadkowych efektów dźwiękowych oraz sampli mowy ludzkiej miało od tej pory stanowić ważny element brzmienia zespołu. Mimo iż Atom Heart Mother postrzegano jako krok wstecz, wciąż uważa się ją za jedną z najtrudniejszych w odbiorze płyt Floydów Ze wszystkich wydanych dotąd płyt osiągnęła ona najwyższe miejsca na listach przebojów – 1. w Wielkiej Brytanii i 55. w Stanach Zjednoczonych[27]. Sam Gilmour nazwał ją „stekiem bzdur”, zaś Waters stwierdził, że nie miałby nic przeciwko, gdyby płytę „wyrzucono do kosza i nikt jej nigdy więcej nie słuchał”[37]. Był to kolejny album przejściowy w historii zespołu, subtelnie nawiązujący do przyszłych obszarów muzycznych, w pełni odkrytych w ambitnym utworze „Echoes” z płyty zatytułowanej Meddle. Popularność Atom Heart Mother pozwoliła grupie wyruszyć w pierwszą pełną trasę koncertową po Stanach Zjednoczonych.
